Restoration
-
Before Restoration
This was a twenty-year-old cedar fence that had at least two different types of products on it. The Customer wanted to remove the product and use a penetrating oil-based stain to finish the job.
-
After Restoration
WE used SSE Stripper on the Fence, then power washed it trying to remove the product that was left behind after the stripper application. Then the SSE Brightener was applied to lighten the color of the wood and ready it for stain. then we Sanded the entire fence. After this it was ready for the Finish. Customer Chose Slate Grey Semi Solid Stain and seal.

Before Restoration
This is how many fences look after time due to the wear and tear mother nature throws at them. This grey color you see is Organic Growth and damage from the Suns UV rays. When many people see this, they think that once the fence has weathered and adopted a grey shade there is no going back. This is where they are wrong! We have a process to save homeowners money and give a second option to rebuilding the fence. This in the end can be done at a fraction of the price to build a new one!
-
Ater 2 step Wash/brighten
The Fence is cleaned and Brightened using Industry Leading SSE Chemicals that are Eco friendly and with the correct process will not harm vegetation. This will Kill the organic growth and will remove the damage from the sun over the years and bring back a much closer look to what you had before the fence adopted the grey hue. This process also opens the woods pores up and allows for a deeper penetration of the Oil based SSE products we use to Finish the job.

After Restoration
Here we have the Finished product. After the Application of SSE Semi Transparent Chestnut. This fence which had parts that were older than 10 years cleaned up very nicely and turned out beautiful. The homeowner was extremely happy with the Results. Not to mention i saved him thousands of dollars because he was able to RESTORE his wood project instead of tear them down and rebuild. Now there is a second Option. [RESTORE]

Before Restoration
Here we have a 15 plus year old deck that the customer was talking about having replaced! I talked them into letting me restore the deck along with the fence and man were they happy they did! As you can the deck was loaded with organic build up to the point it wasn’t allowing the wood to dry! So, I assured them after the process it wouldn’t even look like the same deck.

After 2 step Wash/Brightening and Sanding
So, first thing we did was hit the areas that had the Water based paint on them with a sander. Then we used SSE Stripper and boosted it to allow it to remove water-based material. This took off the brown paint that was on the front face and side face but uncovered a tough blue paint in places underneath. Then the deck was power washed, removing the stripper and what it could of the paint. There were spots left that needed sanding, so it was sanded to remove the remining material. Then we used the SSE Brightener to lighten the color and ready it for stain. We also had to replace a board and replace many screws that had failed over the years.

After Restoration
Here is the Finished product, this was a deck that the customer thought about ripping out and rebuilding until they were coached and learned this would be a perfect restoration project. We were able to RESTORE it and bring it back to life. The customer was extremely pleased with the outcome! This is stained with SSE Semi Transparent Pecan Stain and Seal. After the restoration Process this porch went from an eye sore, that they wanted to do away with to a spot that they are able to enjoy again for the fraction of the price it would take to build new. The time is now RESTORE your wood projects, they still have life in them!

Before Restoration
Here was a restoration project that intertwined many different skills and applications to complete. Customer wanted to go with an oil-based stain on the floor and stairs and keep the white on the rest of the porch with a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams solid stain. The other Issue was the left railing was rotted through so that needed to be rebuilt, and all of the organic growth needed to be killed and removed, and the failing white paint needed to be sanded down and prepped for reapplication.

After Restoration
First part of the process on this project was to remove the rotted/broken left railing and rebuilt it to match the old one. Then I attached it back in place and began to strip the deck. We used multiple techniques to remove the old failing product. Then we used SSE Wood Cleaner and Brightener our 2-step wash/ brighten process. next came the orbital sander and detail sander to make sure the surface looked ready for stain. The customer chose SSE Semi Solid Slate Grey on the deck, and it turned out amazing. RESTORE your projects with Scorpion Stain Co. you will not be disappointed!
